Joy, the beloved Highland Park Taiwanese eatery known for its heartful street food, is bringing its signature night market flavors to Santa Monica. The new location at 418 Wilshire Blvd (formerly Wahoo's Fish Tacos) will be Joy's second outpost, serving up fan favorites like minced pork on rice, thousand-layer pancakes, and house-baked scallion sesame bread. With dishes inspired by Taipei's bustling night markets and a menu rooted in authentic regional Taiwanese cooking, Joy creates a cozy neighborhood vibe perfect for both quick snacks and communal dining experiences. Paired with hip Shirube next door, this Wilshire Blvd stretch is quickly becoming Santa Monica's most exciting dining destination.
Salud is Venice's newest all-day destination, bringing Roma Norte cafe vibes to 417 Washington Blvd right next to the Venice Canals. Mornings start with iced horchata chai lattes, barbacoa hash featuring braised short rib with nopales and a sunny side egg, and chorizo breakfast burritos with crispy tots. When the sun sets, the lights dim, the DJ spins, and the menu transforms into a Mexican-Spanish tapas experience with mezcal cocktails, Yucatan tuna tostones, and koji aged hanger steak. Coffee by day, cocktails by night, this spot is putting a fresh twist on the Venice dining scene.
Three Boys Diner is your new neighborhood spot for good old-fashioned breakfast and lunch at 6404 Wilshire Boulevard. This family-owned spot is now open and serving up diner classics made fresh for early mornings and quick lunch breaks. Think homemade comfort food, friendly service, and a relaxed, cozy vibe that makes you want to keep coming back. Open Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Three Boys is built for nearby office workers and regulars looking for a meal worth savoring. Daily specials keep things fresh, and they're available for buyouts, private gatherings, and after-hours events.

RAMS LOCK IN MCVAY AND SNEAD WITH MULTIYEAR EXTENSIONS
The Los Angeles Rams have signed head coach Sean McVay and general manager Les Snead to multiyear contract extensions, securing the NFL's longest-tenured active head coach and GM pairing as they enter their 10th season together. Since McVay's arrival in 2017, the duo has posted a 92-57 regular season record (fifth best in the NFL), made seven playoff appearances, competed in three NFC Championship Games, and won Super Bowl LVI. Owner Stan Kroenke praised their consistent championship standard and leadership, while McVay became the winningest head coach in Rams franchise history last season. The extensions come after the Rams fell to the Seattle Seahawks in the 2025 NFC Championship Game, with the team now conducting an extensive search for a new offensive coordinator following Mike LaFleur's departure to Arizona.
