Chef Nancy Silverton is partnering with developer Rick Caruso and filmmaker-restaurateur Joseph 'McG' Nichol to launch Spacca Tutto, an Italian-American steakhouse anchored in Palisades Village at the heart of the community’s rebuilding efforts. What to expect: The menu will feature an elevated steak program alongside salads, seafood and seasonal vegetables, supported by nearly 250 Italian and domestic wine selections and a fast craft cocktail list.

Amapola Coffee and Tea has quietly opened at 16935 Vanowen St Unit F in the San Fernando Valley, bringing a new small-batch espresso spot to a strollable part of the neighborhood. BURTON WAY

A 19 story, 30 unit tower at 145 Rodeo Drive and a 14 story mixed use project at 9229 Wilshire Boulevard have been approved, adding new housing and retail to the city. A 26 story, 200 unit Crescent Heights tower at 8844 Burton Way remains under review. These projects fall under the state’s Builder’s Remedy, allowing denser housing while Beverly Hills works to meet state housing goals.

LANA OPENS IN PALMS

A seven story mixed use project called Lana has opened at 10375 Washington Boulevard, adding 139 apartments and street level retail by Guo Rui Group and Kevin Tsai Architecture. The building includes a pool, courtyards, and 14 affordable units through the Transit Oriented Communities program. With its clean design and walkable setting, Lana continues Palms’ steady shift toward a denser, transit connected neighborhood.

The hotelier behind Studio 54 is opening Public West Hollywood in spring 2026 on the bones of the old Standard Hotel (and 1962 Thunderbird Motel before that), promising luxury for all pricing with a 16,000-square-foot rooftop terrace and a disco called Giorgio's after genre godfather Giorgio Moroder. Schrager's second LA property (joining West Hollywood Edition a mile down the Strip) will feature two restaurants, a ground-floor pool, and what he calls a new age nightclub with immersive sound and non-stop, hot, sweaty dancing but no flashing lights.

DENNYS 🍳 $620M DEAL

The Lakewood-born breakfast chain is being acquired by TriArtisan Capital, Treville Capital, and major franchisee Yadav Enterprises for $6.25 per share, a 52% premium that sent stock up 47% after hours Monday. Denny's contacted over 40 potential buyers after announcing plans last fall to close 150 underperforming locations amid post-pandemic struggles with delivery demands and competition from healthier chains like First Watch.
